Lord God, our hearts are guilty; we have been dishonest:
Lord, forgive us and help us.
We have looked upon evil:
Lord, forgive us and help us.
We have clung to selfish ways:
Lord, forgive us and help us.
We have talked about others behind their backs with haughty eyes and a proud heart:
Lord, forgive us and help us.
Renew us in righteousness
every morning;
make our lives faithful
and our conversation blameless,
that we may remain in your presence
for ever;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
