From Isaiah 43
O Lord our God, we confess
that we have not called upon you,
we have not given generously,
nor have we honoured you;
but we have wearied you
with our wrong-doing
and burdened you with our offences:
blot out our transgressions
and remember our sin no more,
for your name's sake. Amen.
