From Deuteronomy 10

Our Lord God,
we want to serve you,
to walk in your ways,
to love you with all our heart
and all our soul,
and to obey your commandments:
you are God of gods and Lord of lords,
you are great, and mighty and awesome;
you are our God,
and we will praise you for ever. Amen.

From Deuteronomy 26

We declare this day
that the Lord is our God:
we will walk in his ways,
we will keep his decrees,
we will obey his commands
and live by his laws.

The Lord declares this day that you are his own people, his treasured possession; a nation holy to the Lord your God, as he promised in Jesus Christ our Saviour:
Thanks to be God. Amen.

Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve:
We will serve the Lord!

You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the Lord:
Yes, we are witnesses.

Serve no other gods; yield your hearts to the Lord your God:
We will serve the Lord our God,
and obey him alone. Amen.

Lord,
whatever we once thought gain,
we offer you for the sake of Christ:
we long for him - to be found in him,
and, through faith in him
to gain the righteousness
that comes from you alone;
we want to know him,
the power of his resurrection
and the fellowship of his suffering;
to die to ourselves
that we might rise with him to eternal life. Amen.
