1 Beyond the grasp of human brain,
Great God, majestic Ruler,
We may by faith, Your presence find
In Christ, our risen Master,
And all the power which we can use
Though turbine, jet and motor
Is nothing to the power of Christ
Who frees us from disaster.
2 For we believe, despite the power
Of greed and lust and Satan
Which dominates the human will,
That sin can be forgiven.
In humble trust and confidence
No power our souls can frighten
We spread your liberating truth
That speaks of love in Heaven.
3 Yet here, within your universe.
We struggle with the tempter
He has no right to trick and trap,
No right to make us cower.
So, Spirit of the living Christ,
The Saviour and the Victor,
That we may daily overcome
Uphold us with your power.
