1 Give God the praise for friends!
Those marv’llous ones he sends
to share our hopes, our troubles and our table.
Deep is this mystery:
how friendship’s chemistry
creates a bond, a bridge, between two people.
2 Give praise to Christ who sends
us to the world, his friends,
to bring the news of reconciliation;
music where discord reigns,
healing where hurt remains,
the peace and blessing, of a great salvation.
3 Blest Holy Trinity,
divine community,
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit blending!
May this the pattern be
of friendship’s company,
a festival which never has an ending.
