Here comes Jesus, walking by the seaside
1 Here comes Jesus, walking by the seaside,
calling the fishermen 'Follow me.'
Simon Peter, James and John and Andrew
leave all their fishing nets by the sea.
Help us, Lord, to hear when you call us;
we want to be your disciples too;
make you king of our lives today
Jesus, we come to you.
2 Here comes Jesus, talking with the people
crowding around him to hear his word.
How they love his stories of God's kingdom,
guiding their living by what they've heard.
Help us, Lord, to learn what you teach us;
we want to be your disciples too;
make you the king of our lives today
Jesus, we come to you.
3 Here comes Jesus, riding on a donkey
into Jerusalem as their King;
children loudly shouting out 'Hosanna!';
right through the city his praises ring.
Help us, Lord, to praise you as they did;
we want to be your disciples too;
make you the king of our lives today
Jesus, we come to you.
4 Here comes Jesus, walking in the garden,
Mary still weeping beside the tomb.
'Mary' 'Master'. What a joy to meet him!
Now he's alive again, no more gloom.
Help us, lord, to know you are with us;
we want to be your disciples too;
make you the king of our lives today
Jesus, we come to you.
