Jesus, Saviour of the world, you

1 Jesus, Saviour of the world,
you have bought your people's freedom
by your cross, your life laid down:
now bring in your glorious kingdom.
Come to help us!

2 Christ, who once on Galilee
came to your disciples' rescue:
we, like them, cry out for help
free us from our sins, we ask you.
Come to save us!

3 Lord, make known your promised power;
show yourself our strong deliverer:
so our prayer shall turn to praise
hear us, stay with us for ever.
Come to rule us!

4 When you come, Lord Jesus Christ,
filling earth and heaven with wonder,
come to make us one with you
heirs of life, to reign in splendour.
