Love that gave all to recover the lost,
Pardoning our sins at unparalleled cost:
God's only Son came and died in our place -
who can explain it, such wonderful grace?

Faith that sustains us in weakness and loss,
through Jesus' blood as it flows from the cross.
Which of us never has hardships to face?
How could we manage, apart from God's grace?

Hope that revives us in times of despair,
purpose for living and motive in prayer:
no man or woman was ever too base,
none too down-trodden to triumph through grace.

Lord, as we look to you, help us to be
mirrors reflecting the beauty we see,
stars shining out, so that others can trace
paths that will lead them to share in your grace.

Soon, when your Spirit invites us to come
Into the peace and delight of your home
from every culture, tradition and race -
then we shall know the true meaning of grace!
