1 O God of justice, answer me:
most True, most Holy, hear my plea,
and judge me not; for in your sight
no living soul is in the right.

2 My enemy has brought me down;
my shame and weakness have been shown.
I know your help from days gone by;
for your reviving strength I cry.

3 From lowest depths of my despair
I lift my hands to you in prayer:
save me from sinking to the dead;
refresh my heart and raise my head.

4 Each morning let me know your love
and all my faithlessness remove:
destroy the powers that bring me low;
in grace and wisdom let me grow.

5 You are my Lord; teach me your will
and in your goodness guide me still.
I am your servant; set me free
to be what you would have me be.
