O God, you are my God, I seek you
1 O God, you are my God:
I seek you with my heart;
my soul is thirsty for you in a dry
and weary desert.
2 O God, you are my God:
your glory I have seen;
with singing shall my lips adore you,
and glory give you, Lord.
3 O God, you are my God:
I think of you at night;
within the shadow of your wings I stay,
and you defend me.
4 O God, you are my God:
the victory is yours;
and evil by your justice overthrown
in holy anger.
5 As long as I shall live
my lips will sing your praise;
my hungry soul will feast upon your love,
and glorify you.
