Praise God, the hour has come

1 Praise God, the hour has come,
with joy awaited;
two lives are joined in one
and dedicated:
their love, from this glad start
till death itself shall part,
with persevering heart
shall lead to glory.

2 Please God, let dreams not fade,
let hope not perish;
each loving promise made,
help them to cherish:
in sickness and in health,
in poverty or wealth,
in overcoming self
may they find glory.

3 Pray God, such love will grow
stronger and deeper,
that all their guests may know
Christ is their keeper:
so shall the Spirit be
their guide unceasingly,
their children come to see
God's work, God's glory!
