1 'Praise to the Lord, for the Lord is good;
thank him for his everlasting love'
this was the song of the Israelites,
this was the song of the priests of old;
this is the song we can sing today,
all who will worship and fear the Lord:
Give thanks in Jesus' Name;
his love remains the same.
2 Out of my need, to the Lord I called;
his answer came and he set me free.
I'm not afraid; he is on my side;
what can my enemies do to me?
Far better trust in the Lord my God
Than to depend on the lords of earth;
Take refuge in the Lord;
rely upon his word;
3 Christ is the stone banished by the builders;
chief cornerstone he has now become.
This is the miracle God has done,
wonderful, marvellous, in our eyes;
this is the day which the Lord has made,
we'll sing Hosanna to celebrate:
Save us, O Lord, we pray,
this resurrection day!
4 Blessings be yours in the house of God,
lessings be yours in the name of Christ!
He is the Lord and he lights our life,
he is the Saviour to whom we sing,
'Praise to the Lord, for the Lord is good,
thank him for his everlasting love'.
This day and all our days
transform with thankful praise.
