1 The LORD is King: his majesty
And strength adorn him like a robe;
The world was built by his decree,
And still his power upholds our globe.

2 Established firmly is your throne;
No change, no conqueror shall it see,
For you, the mighty LORD, alone
Are King for all eternity.

3 The floods have lifted up their voice
With roaring waves and fearful tide;
The LORD on high can still their noise
And make the angry sea subside.

4 O sovereign LORD, your name we bless:
All your decrees are firm and sure;
Perfect us, LORD: for holiness
Befits your temple evermore.
