1 The LORD is King: his majesty
and strength adorn him like a robe;
the world was built by his decree,
and still his power upholds our globe.

2 Established firmly is your throne;
no change, no conqueror shall it see,
for you, the mighty LORD, alone
are King for all eternity.

3 The floods have lifted up their voice
with roaring waves and fearful tide;
the LORD on high can still their noise
and make the angry sea subside.

4 O sovereign LORD, your name we bless:
all your decrees are firm and sure;
perfect us, LORD: for holiness
befits your temple evermore.
