The morning comes: new heavens, new earth
1 The morning comes: new heavens, new earth;
every corruption done away!
Beyond the pain, the promised birth,
creation's longed - for freedom - day.
We hear one name dissolve the night,
bridegroom and priest, once crucified;
see new Jerusalem, bathed in light,
prepared to be his holy bride.
2 All joy is here, all death is past:
Christ is our world, our universe,
our morning star, the first and last,
whose blood spells rescue from the curse.
All nations, come! Believe in him
and freely drink from streams of grace;
to share in God's Jerusalem
and find all heaven in Jesus' face.
