To your praise, O God almighty

1 To your praise, O God almighty,
Israel's holy Lord and ours,
be ascribed, through all the ages,
victories, dominions, powers!
Maker of the earth and heaven,
master of the sea and land:
none made low without your pleasure,
none raised up but by your hand.

2 Now enthroned above in triumph,
Christ who lives, who once was slain;
ransomed hosts from every nation
risen with Christ, with Christ shall reign:
for the Lamb of God, is worthy
to receive through endless days
from all creatures, honour, glory,
power, wisdom, might and praise.

3 Countless thousands in the heavens,
on the earth and in the sea
fall before the Godhead crying:
'Blessing, honour, victory
great and marvellous are your wonders,
just and perfect are your ways!'
Come, all heaven and earth, adoring
bring to God eternal praise!
