1 Welcome, Child of Mary,
coming from above
our visitor from heaven,
our Lord of love!
Jesus, dearest saviour,
all praise is yours by right,
now returned to glory,
beyond our human sight.
Have mercy, Lord!

2 Shepherds in the pasture
hearing angels sing,
receive with joy and wonder
the news they bring:
'Go to seek your saviour;
now swiftly make your way
you will surely find him
in Bethlehem today!'
Have mercy, Lord!

3 Wise men from the orient,
skilled to understand
the star that lights the heavens
their eyes have scanned:
soon they find the saviour
and bring him presents rare,
who can keep our treasure
secure within his care.
