Big Sing 2022 Christmas Collection - New Light has Dawned

This year’s Jubilate Big Sing took place on June 18th at the beautiful church of St Augustine in South Kensington, with many thanks to Joanna Gill for superb hosting. We had a wonderful day recording new Christmas songs for our latest collection New Light has Dawned. 

Singers from around the country joined to record ten new Christmas songs, covering a range of styles, with a mixture of congregational and choral pieces. The inspirational Noël Tredinnick led us through the day, with superb accompaniment (and conducting) from Maria Marchant and beautiful playing from Jane Jewell and Greg Mitchell. 

A printed songbook is already available here. We plan to release a new CD in September via the website, plus a full range of digital resources including individual mp3s and piano scores.

Many thanks to all involved in making this happen, to all singers and especially to Joel Payne for being a very patient and calm recording engineer!
