From Psalm 38
O God, our guilt overwhelms us:
the burden of our sins is too hard to bear,
All our longings lie open before you:
we cannot hide our sighing from you.
We admit our iniquity:
we confess our sins:
Do not forsake us, do not be far away
come quickly to help us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
