Jim McPherson has been professionally schooled in mathematics and then theology. He was ordained to the Anglican priesthood in Australia (1978) and served in the Dioceses of Canberra-Goulburn, Sydney, and Brisbane, until his retirement in 2014. His lifelong passion has been to discover how things fit together and why they function as they do; he has always had an eye for the quirky, the enigmatic, the ironic, and the poignant.
Jim's first collection of poetry was published 2014, To Tease Our Knowing; he is currently preparing a second collection for publication. He and his wife Marcia have four children and five grandchildren, and live on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
