O my Lord, I will exalt you:
from the depths you drew me up;
when I called, O God, you healed me,
saved my life and gave me hope.
Sing, you saints, to God the Saviour!
Angry he will not remain,
for his favour lasts for ever -
glory to his holy name!

Once I said, "I'll not be shaken,
firmly standing in your grace."
But my confidence was broken
when you turned and hid your face.
Yet, you saints, exalt the Saviour!
Though by night you weep in shame,
with the dawn comes joy for ever -
praise and glory to his name!

Then I cried to you for mercy,
called for help in my distress.
Will the dust declare your praises
or proclaim your faithfulness?
Sing, you saints, to God the Saviour!
In your sins you'll not remain,
for his favour lasts for ever -
glory to his holy name!

Lord, you turned my grief to gladness,
gave me joy unknown before.
I will sing and not be silent,
give you thanks for evermore.
Yes, you saints, exalt the Saviour!
Though the night brings tears and pain,
with the dawn comes joy for ever -
praise and glory to his name!
