Colin Avery

Born in Brighton, East Sussex

Educated at Varndean Grammar School for Boys, Brighton, and St Luke's College, Exeter.

Retired music teacher having worked in various secondary schools and, most recently, in a school for the blind and partially sighted.

Involved in church music from an early age. Directed a worship band in a Devon church for many years.

Current activities include composing and arranging music, writing lyrics, painting watercolours and being a grandparent.

Now lives in Lincolnshire.
