PRAYING FOR THE CHURCH
ABOUT MISSION
From Isaiah 61
Sovereign Lord, you have anointed us with your Spirit and have sent us to preach good news to the poor, to bind up the broken-hearted, to announce freedom to the captives and release for the prisoners of darkness; to proclaim your grace and your judgement, to provide for those who mourn:
Bless all to whom we go;
bring your beauty into their lives -
joy instead of mourning
praise instead of despair;
through us,
make them like trees you have planted,
rooted in righteousness,
that they may display your splendour;
through Jesus Christ our saviour. Amen.
